The gameplay in general is less a shooter and more a combat puzzle platformer in the realm of something like Super Hot. It kinda makes the whole thing feel a little cheap, like a flash game. But levels are laid out in a very arcadey fashion, with many enemies standing inside rectangular prisons of concrete almost floating in mid air. The shooting feels alright, and the amount you can do with the environment to kill enemies in creative ways is a *blast*. # **My Rating: 3/5**Īnother violent wacky indie game with a solid core gameplay loop and little else to keep it memorable. If what I've already described sounds fun, and perhaps you like the idea of having a talking banana as your partner in crime throughout the game, consider picking this up. There's not much more to say about the game, honestly. It's one of those games that seems way too bloated on paper, but then you start playing and you're trying to incorporate everything into your combo because it's so damn fun and satisfying. You have a small variety of guns, the pistols and SMGs being dual wielded and letting you aim in separate directions, you have a rocket launcher, you can kick objects at enemies from a distance, you can flip tables for cover or roll under them, you can shoot gas canisters to blow them up, you can shoot fucking frying pans and have your bullets ricochet off them to kill enemies, even being able to kick them into the air first so you can kill enemies above you. And in terms of combos, there are so many fun ways to kill dudes in this game it's unreal. It's ultra short, but what's there is perfectly good, and there's lots of replayability in going for high scores and combos. 3h 12m PlayedMy friends and I have a saying: "Devolver don't miss."
